What it is
Humic acid is one of the three humic substances, alongside fulvic acid and humin. It has a higher molecular weight than fulvic acid and is less soluble at low pH — chemically the bigger, slower relative.
How it works
Humic acid contributes to the carrier behaviour of the whole shilajit complex: it binds metal ions (chelation) and is redox-active. ASCENTIALS does not isolate it — the position is matrix over molecule, keeping the fractions together as they occur.

What the chemistry shows
Well characterized as a redox-active macromolecule; studied more in soil science than in clinics.
