Fulvic-to-humic ratio

What it measures

Within the humic substances, fulvic acid is the small, mobile fraction and humic acid the larger one. Their ratio describes which dominates a given source — and a higher fulvic share means more of the fraction light enough to cross a membrane.

Why it matters

The ratio is a quality signal that sits alongside the standardized fulvic percentage: two numbers describing the same underlying question — how much of the useful fraction is present. It is source- and altitude-dependent, which is part of why provenance is specified rather than assumed.
