What it is
A Certificate of Analysis is the paperwork that turns a claim into a measurement. For a shilajit batch it states the identity of the material, its standardization (for example ≥60% fulvic acid), and the results of contaminant screening.
It is issued per batch, by an independent laboratory — not once for a product line and never again.
Why it matters
Because shilajit forms in rock, raw resin can carry lead, arsenic, mercury and aluminium. The resolution is analytical: heavy-metal screening by ICP-MS, reported on the CoA. The same chelation chemistry that lets fulvic acid bind minerals is why contamination screening cannot be optional.
A CoA you can actually read is the honest alternative to the word “purified” on a label.

What the standard is
Why the document exists — the toxicology it guards against and the profile purification achieves.
